E-Flight Academy is a flight school fully committed to sustainable aviation. Having already invested in a solar panel system, a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), and an Energy Management System (EMS), the school had built a strong foundation for self-sufficient operations. With all the key assets in place, the opportunity was clear: optimise the integration between these systems to unlock their full potential and enable reliable simultaneous charging of both cars and multiple electric aircraft.
How NRG2fly solved it
NRG2fly took on the optimisation challenge across multiple fronts. The first priority was reconfiguring the EMS to properly coordinate the battery storage and solar panels. As part of this process, NRG2fly also conducted a full electric asset inspection and identified several areas where the existing infrastructure could be improved. The result was an optimised fully integrated energy hub, reliably balancing solar generation and battery storage while charging both cars and multiple electric aircraft at the same time, without system overload and well within the limits of the contracted grid capacity.
